Markese Stepp is the Founder of Next Stepp Solutions. A former Division I running back at USC, Nebraska, and Western Kentucky, he later signed with the New York Jets in 2024. He translates elite athletic discipline into day-to-day operations: crisp planning, well-run teams, and results you can measure. Clients know him for his calm under pressure and simple, effective playbooks.

Markese’s Football Journey
Cathedral High School (Indianapolis, IN)
Explosive back and team leader. Earned PrepStar All-America honors and finished his senior year with 975 rushing yards and 17 TDs (nearly 8 yards per carry).
USC Trojans (2018–2020)
Power runner who flashed in limited snaps: 340 rushing yards on 55 carries (6.2 avg) and 3 TDs. Overcame hamstring setbacks and kept grinding—“A Stepp in the right direction” became the theme of his rehab and return.
Nebraska Cornhuskers (2021–2022)
Brought toughness to the Big Ten; appeared in seven games his first season in Lincoln, logging 177 yards and 2 TDs while earning praise for his work ethic.
Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (2023)
Closed out college with 310 rushing yards and 3 TDs across 11 games, adding receiving production and a season-best 76-yard outing vs. Louisiana Tech.
New York Jets (2024)
Earned an NFL shot: signed after rookie minicamp (May 13–14, 2024); later waived May 29, moved to IR May 30, and reached an injury settlement May 31. The experience cemented his “process + resilience” philosophy he now applies to client work.
